Darlinghurst 2

A small, but incredibly stylish, inner city apartment overlooking the harbour has been given star treatment with this renovation. The project included a new kitchen, WC/powder room, laundry and main bathroom. Cleverly, the design was able to incorporate a much needed second toilet by way of the main bathroom, previously without one. Muted tones provide a sophisticated air throughout the bathrooms while the kitchen on bluestone flooring enjoys a sparkle and shine from the white cabinetry and abundance of natural light that streams through the large window. The timber veneer element and “floating” shallow depth joinery soften the transition to an awkwardly placed existing doorway.

With gorgeous views across Sydney Harbour, the layout makes sure the owners can enjoy the vista from numerous locations within the apartment. Apartment living, by necessity, requires clever storage solutions so this design maximises every available centimetre. This stylish couple required a design that was in keeping with the ambiance throughout the apartment so a variety of finishes were chosen that could be replicated in a number of applications to ensure a consistent theme throughout.
